I spent the last 4 days polishing the money pods to a reflective finish. The convex shape creates interesting distorted reflections.

The sculpture is complete. All the welds are ground and polished. I will be building open crates to protect it during transportation to the site.

Stainless steel arc sections will be welded to make the two bases that the tall stems grow out of.

The real dried money plant has a dark edge around the circumference of the seed pod.

shiny hammer finish



As the stainless is hammered and formed, the marks are polished to a shiny finish. The curved face creates a wide angle reflection.

Money discs








Stainless steel discs are cut out and hammered to form a dish. Two halves are welded together to create the lozenge shape for the money plant sculpture
